Message from Director of Nursing

At Sydney Children's Hospital we pride ourselves on offering a highly supportive work environment for nurses along with numerous opportunities for learning and skills enhancement.
We encourage diversification in the workplace giving nurses the chance to experience a variety of clinical settings; research, education or management and we have programs in each of these areas to support the novice.
Our nursing personnel are encouraged to contribute to the development of policies and guidelines that govern their work and to challenge the "old" ways of doing things.
The work is challenging but the rewards are truly outstanding. If paediatric nursing interests you, please read on learn more about us.
About Us
Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick (SCH) is an acute care facility situated in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. It is one of three tertiary centres for child health in New South Wales.
Our comprehensive services in paediatric and adolescent medicine, surgery and child protection, enable SCH to provide the most complex level of care (level 6) to our patients.
In partnership with associated outreach and community based services, we also look after a local community for all matters relating to child health.
