Donations
Donations Policy
The Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation's policy is to ensure that every donation specified to a particular medical discipline or service is directed accordingly. Donations which are not specified are directed to the area of greatest need at the Hospital, as determined by the Hospital Management Committee, and approved by the Board of the Foundation, who acknowledge that donor expectation is that donations will support childrens' medical care and wellbeing.

Payroll Deduction
Many companies now offer a payroll deduction facility to their staff. Your first step should be to see your Payroll, Accounts or HR department to organise your donation to be paid directly from your salary to the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation.
Ask if your company makes 'matching donations'. This is a system where your employer matches your own donation.
Donations In Kind
Without 'in kind' donations, our job to raise funds for the Sydney Children's Hospital would be just that little bit harder.
The Hospital and Foundation rely heavily on pro bono professional services and the donation of goods in kind such as prizes, catering and event production services is vital to our success.
If you, or your company would like to assist by making a donation in kind, please telephone (02) 9382 1188. Don't forget to ask about the option of a tax-deductible receipt for your Goods in Kind donation.
Please note: Due to Health Department regulations we are unable to accept used toys or books.
Collection Tins

Collection Tins are small enough to be positioned in the most prominent area of your business and feature the eye-catching Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick logo. Collection Tins can be delivered to and from your business at your request, and you can nominate how many you would like.
To request Collection Tins for your business, please contact the Foundation on telephone (02) 9382 1188.
In Memorium & In Celebration
In Memorium
Many people are now donating to a charity in lieu of flowers for funeral services. Often the family are the ones who choose which charity will benefit. The Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation has special envelopes available for such occasions. In Memorium donations can be specified to a particular disease, ward or service at the Hospital. Please phone (02) 9382 1188 for more details.
In Celebration
Weddings, birthdays, christenings, parties, anything!
Anything that is traditionally celebrated with the giving of gifts can be a double celebration when you choose to give to Sydney Children's Hospital instead of receiving presents from your friends and family. Please telephone (02) 9382 1188 for more details.
Cultural Gifts Program
The Sydney Children's Hospital's Arts Program was created to further enhance the stay of our young patients. The Program is dedicated to providing an environment that is as free from stress as possible and where the child and the whole family feel comfortable, safe and secure.
For those children who cannot be treated on an outpatient basis, artworks provide a distraction from illness and stressful procedures, where the child and carers often spend hours looking at the art on our walls. Research has shown that a conducive environment can improve the healing process as it has such a strong, positive impact on the young patient, thus minimising trauma and depression.
Currently, the Hospital has permanent installations of murals, mosaics and fine art in the various wards, public waiting areas and Hospital departments as well as changing exhibitions of children's artwork on loan from various local schools.
The Hospital's Arts Program is administered by the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation and is entirely reliant upon donations and fundraising events. Artworks can be donated through the Cultural Gifts Program which encourages gifts of significant cultural items to participating public art galleries, museums, libraries and hospitals offering donors a tax deduction for the market value of their gifts, under Subdivision 30-A of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
Many of the artworks in the Sydney Children's Hospital have been donated through the Cultural Gifts Program, however there remains the need to acquire more artworks to complete the Arts Program.
If you are considering donating artwork(s) or would like to make a donation, or hold a fundraising event to support the Hospital's Arts Program please contact the Arts Co-ordinator on (02) 9382 1833.
