Grace Bros Charities hold their AGM at SCH,R
On Friday 28th August at 10.15am Grace Bros Charities will be thanked for their support of Sydney Children's Hospital at the hospital, High St, Randwick.
And at 10.45am the Grace Bros Charities will hold their Annual General Meeting in the hospital lecture theatre with 25 representatives from Grace Bros Charities and the Chairman Mr Kevin Davis.
Throughout NSW and the ACT Grace Bros Charities have 72 beneficiaries which include children's charities, aged care and welfare organisations. Since 1924, Grace Bros Charities has raised over $9.2 million and in October 1997 a further $755,000 was donated to the beneficiaries of the fund.
The Grace Bros Charities was formed in 1924 when a ball was held by staff at the Broadway store, raising 270 pounds.
Since 1963 Grace Bros Charities has proudly been associated with the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick and has donated over $360,000 to assist in the caring of sick children from all over NSW.
The Patron of Grace Bros Charities is the Governor of New South Wales, His Excellency, the Honourable Gordon Samuels, AO. The President is Mr Terry McCartney, Managing Director, Myer Grace Bros. The Chairman is Mr Kevin Davis and the Manager is Ms Marlane Brunner.
By putting children first and foremost Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick has a full range of specialist services treating children from all over NSW and Australia with many conditions including cancer, trauma, HIV/AIDS, congenital abnormalities, heart disease and respiratory disorders.
