Local primary school supports Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick
Students at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH) Primary School, Randwick recently held a fundraiser to benefit the patients treated at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
A phenomenal $1,195.00 was raised via a crazy hair and mufti day - which was initiated by the Student Representative Council comprising of a member from each primary year group (as pictured). Students paid a minimum of 40 cents to participate and every year from Kindergarten to Year Six got involved in the festivities.
Tristan Jones, Schools Program Coordinator, Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation said:
'It is great to see school kids support patients at the Hospital. We are greatly appreciative of the vital funds they raise - they are helping to make a real difference to the lives of these patients.'
The Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for child health with a full range of specialist services treating children from all over NSW and Australia with many conditions including cancer, trauma, HIV/AIDS, congenital abnormalities, heart disease and respiratory disorders.
