Further Update On Andie Kearns
Nineteen month old Andie Kearns has been taken off life support as her condition has improved and stabilised.
Andie is now breathing on her own, is active, aware of what is going on around her and has been interacting with her parents and family.
Given her continued improvement, and after almost 21 days of round-the-clock care by the hospital’s intensive care team, it is planned to move Andie out of the Intensive Care Ward of Sydney Children’s Hospital.
The hospital plans to hold a press conference on Monday at 12 midday at the hospital.
This will be confirmed again on Monday morning by email.
