The ultimate Olympic celebration for kids at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick
Children from Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick will now be able to attend the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games. The Westfield Foundation has generously donated 60 tickets, valued at $120,000 to the Hospital so that the children can share in the celebrations and congratulate their Olympic heroes.
It would not have been possible for children at the Hospital to attend the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games without Westfield's donation of tickets.
'It is fantastic that the sick children at Sydney Children's Hospital can join in the celebrations of the Closing Ceremony. I would like to thank Westfield for their very generous donation of the tickets. Westfield is the principal sponsor of our Research laboratories and they have continued in their generosity by making it possible for the children to enjoy an experience of a lifetime', said Professor Les White, Executive Director, Sydney Children's Hospital.
'We wanted to give the tickets to the kids from Sydney Children's Hospital as we know they will be very keen to be part of the celebrations. We are proud to be part of that experience and it demonstrates Westfield's continued support of Sydney Children's Hospital' said Mike Yanco, Manager of the Westfield Foundation.
