State of Origin Players Score a Win with Cancer Patient

The NSW State of Origin team will put a smile on the face of one of their biggest supporters today when they visit the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick (Wednesday, 27 June) at 5pm.

Andrew Page, a 14-year-old cancer patient and huge NRL fan, will receive a framed portrait of himself with the NSW team, taken at the first State of Origin clash in Queensland, from the boys today.

Andrew's dream to meet the team was realised this year. Doctors noted the vast improvement in Andrew's general health and disposition when he met Parramatta players earlier in the year and asked whether the NRL could continue to assist.

The NRL's help in aiding Andrew's recovery has been very important and a tribute to their broader role.

Tonight will mark a very special moment in Andrew's life, as he has not been able to play for his hometown team for nearly a year.
