On Thursday 30 August one of the most popular exclusive events of the year, Amber Affair will be packed with professionals from the high end of Sydney’s banking, business and media sectors to enjoy tasting some of the world’s leading craft brewed beers.
Featuring an array of exquisite boutique beers from some of the finest award winning beer producers in the world, Amber Affair is a unique beer-tasting fundraising night-out proudly sponsored by the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation and created by the Amber Affair Committee in conjunction with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Danny Dreyfus, Brokerage Officer with Etrade Australia Securities Limited said, “We are extremely proud to be associated with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation. Through the Foundation, the Hospital is able to conduct extremely critical work in changing and saving the lives of seriously ill children. We have shared a long association with the Hospital since the days of the Bulls and Bears Picnic and as the principle sponsor of this exclusive event we are continuing this 20 year tradition,” Mr Dreyfus said.
With Australia’s multi-award winning journalist, Ben Fordham of Channel Nine’s A Current Affair as Master of Ceremonies, Löwenbräu Keller will host the fifth Amber Affair where guests will experience the fine flavours of premium craft brewed beer while enjoying canapés and light entertainment in the unique atmosphere that Löwenbräu offers.
With boutique beers from the Löwenbräu, Matilda Bay Brewing Company, Premium Beverages, The Lucky Drink Company, Barons Brewing, Hunter Beer Company, The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel, Malt Shovel, St Peters, Swartz and Redoak breweries, all will combine to offer guests an international award winning brewing experience.
Elizabeth Crundall, Chief Executive, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation said, “Amber Affair is always an extremely popular event which provides guests with an excellent networking and corporate entertaining opportunity. Thanks to the generosity of the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation, the Löwenbräu Keller and the boutique breweries, the night raises vital funds for Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation,” she said. “Guests can taste boutique beers and know that they are making an important contribution to the treatment of ill children from NSW and beyond.”
Chuck Hahn, Brew Master and founder of Malt Shovel Brewery said, “There’ll be a great diversity of craft brewed, gold, silver and bronze award winning Australian beers that patrons can sample and at the same time know that they’re contributing to a wonderful cause, the Sydney Children’s Hospital,” Chuck said.
Boutique beer offers a wide range of flavours to be enjoyed with a variety of fine foods because it’s a premium product anyone can enjoy. What makes the event extra special is the variety of boutique beers available for tasting that are international award winners.
With the brew masters using a variety of techniques and recipes to create their unique flavoured beers, craft beer is about the flavour of the beer and all the beers at Amber Affair are made from the finest quality natural ingredients, are naturally fermented and free of flavour enhancers and artificial colours.
Löwenbräu Keller is the host venue of Amber Affair and the only brewery to offer a fully imported beer. Dominic Dighton, Product Manager German Beer Imports for Löwenbräu Keller said, “Amber Affair is an exciting event that we’ve been proud to support. It’s the only event of its kind in Sydney that brings together the highest calibre producers with a discerning clientele.”
“It’s a great night with some of the finest beers in the world, great food, celebrities and an extremely friendly atmosphere,” he said. “This special evening gives people with sophisticated taste the chance to sample some of the best boutique beers Australia has to offer,” said Dominic Dighton.
