Sally Herman Heads the 2008 Gold Dinner
Mr Jack Ford, Chairman of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, announced today that Ms Sally Herman, General Manager, Advice at BT Financial Group has agreed to chair the Gold Dinner in 2008.
The Gold Dinner, Sydney Children’s Hospital’s annual signature fundraising event has been the pinnacle fundraising dinner in Australia, both in production and financially, with over $12.5M net profit raised from the past 10 Gold Dinners. Since 1998 the Gold Dinner has made a major impact on the lives of tens of thousands of seriously ill children treated at the Hospital.
The Gold Dinner sells out each year and has no invitation. It enjoys a proven record of continued success unparalleled by similar events, recognised for style and sophistication of excellence in production, unique venues, food, entertainment, networking and generous giving.
Jack Ford said, “Sally Herman has been an active Gold Dinner committee member since 2006 and brings wisdom, passion and business acumen to lead the 11th Gold Dinner to new heights.”
“The challenge after ten incredible dinners is to preserve the essence of the dinner and to take it to the next stage of exclusivity and success,” he said.
The Gold Dinner has enjoyed tremendous support from everyone involved – the generous gold table patrons and their guests, the prize donors, production crew and volunteers. Many of the supporters have extended their generosity to the Hospital for ten consecutive years.

The Gold Dinner 2008, managed and organised by the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Gold Dinner Committee, will build on the special attributes and strengths of the past ten Gold Dinners, with all key elements of exclusivity for which it is renowned to be preserved and enhanced.
