Coogee Bay Hotel Presents Sydney Children’s Hospital over $100,000

On May 23, Coogee Bay Hotel presented $101,000 - the total of their 10th annual Golf Day to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Chief Executive of Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Adam Check was presented the cheque by Coogee Bay Hotel Managing Director Christopher Cheung during a visit to the Hospital.

On 18 October, over 120 guests from the hospitality industry, including corporate teams from Coca Cola, Tooheys, Smiths Snack Foods and Fosters teed off at the Camden Lakeside Golf Course alongside Australian golfing greats and Sydney Swan Ryan O’Keefe, all generously contributing to the success of the day.

Coogee Bay Hotel staff and other guests met Executive Director of Sydney Children’s Hospital Professor Les White AM on a tour of the Hospital, meeting some of the patients who benefit from the state-of-the-art paediatric digital integrated operating theatres, which are funded by the Coogee Bay Hotel.

Managing Director of Coogee Bay Hotel Christopher Cheung said, “Since the Coogee Bay Hotel Charity Golf Day began in 1997, over $1Million has been raised, thanks to the support and generosity of the hospitality industry. We look forward to helping make a difference to the Hospital at our Golf Day again this year.”

Adam Check, Chief Executive of Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation said, “The Hospital relies heavily on the generosity of the community to help make a difference in the lives of the seriously ill children it cares for. We are delighted to have the long standing commitment of the Coogee Bay Hotel and its supporters through their annual Golf Day.”
