Sydney Swans make Shiloh’s Day

Heathcote schoolgirl, Shiloh Middlemis was the centre of attention recently as the Sydney Swans football team made their way around the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

Shiloh, 15 years old, is in the early stages of treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia and is confined to bed. So when the Swans came to visit it made Shiloh's day.

The Middlemis family are avid Sydney Swans fans and attend every home game they can.

Mid-fielder, Jude Bolton and Joint Vice-captain, Stuart Maxfield spent a good hour with Shiloh, with some serious discussion about the team's upcoming matches taking place. Shiloh even had a few tips for the players!

Jude and Stuart left Shiloh and her family with a selection of signed memorabilia - which now adorns the walls of the Hospital ward.

The Swans had some time left to visit the other sick children and made their way to the General Surgical and Spinal Injury Ward.
